Silver Globe Records
was founded in 1990 by Delroy "Silvanus" Roberts, who started out as an artist with the hands on approach of producing himself.
Now Silver Globe Records has grown to be an affluent company poised for international recognition with the deepest commitment to original composition of positiveness, spirituality and love. Nothing that is degrading to woman or discriminative will be accepted on the Silver Globe Label.
Our R&D department have studied the reggae music industry and concluded that the music which will last for a life time, are the ones that are uniquely arranged with conscious lyrical contents. For example Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh; whose musical creations are still admired by reggae music lovers around the world.
With that in mind Silver Globe has set out to capture that essence of conscious melody by sticking as close to the roots as possible.
- Mounia `Sahara` Ezzahar, born in Morocco-North Africa; She
migrated to Canada with her parents at the tender age of two years old
where she was surrounded by music constantly, due to the fact that her
father was the Bass player for a group called `The Box`. She was always
playing with the instruments and singing with her Dad as she grew older.
- Thank You : Silver Globe Records announces the release of the
second single vinyl entitled `Thank You` by one of reggae`s newest
female solo artist : Mounia Sahara. Released on the Silver Globe Record
Label. Distribution of `Thank You` is handled by Tuff Gong, Jamaica.
- Silvanus started out as most artist did, singing at church
and entertaining relatives and friends. He migrated to Canada in 1979
where he started spreading his distinct brand of musical culture at
dances and stage shows throughout Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa(Canada);
New-York, Washington D.C.(U.S.A.), London and Manchester(England) as
well as Clarendon and Kingston (Jamaica), just to name a few.
